MP: Grants support communities across the UK
The next round of funding for communities under the £150 million Community Ownership Fund has been announced. A key part of the Government’s levelling-up agenda, the fund supports communities to save local facilities and secure their future. Voluntary and community groups can bid for funding to acquire these assets, such as sports clubs and pubs, and run them for the benefit of the local community.
John said,
“It is excellent news that the recent round of funding allocations has been announced, enabling communities all across the UK to purchase valued local amenities and safeguard their future. These include pubs, woodlands, sports clubs and historical railway lines – all in all, 195 community projects have been supported. This is levelling-up in action.”
